Delete your account

This page explains how users of the Torch of Knowledge mobile app can request deletion of their account and associated data.

Option 1 — Delete in the app (recommended)

1. Open the Torch of Knowledge app.
2. Sign in with your account.
3. Go to Profile → Settings.
4. Tap Delete account.
5. Enter your password to confirm.

When you confirm, your account is permanently deleted. This cannot be undone.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you cannot use the in-app flow, email us from the same address linked to your account:

Include:

• Subject: “Account deletion request”
• The email address of your Torch of Knowledge account
• A short note asking us to delete your account and associated data

We process email requests as soon as reasonably possible, and typically within 30 days.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, we delete associated data such as:

• Account credentials and profile information (name, email, photo)
• Learning progress, bookmarks, quiz history, and plan usage data
• AI chat history stored for your account
• Push notification tokens linked to your account

What may be retained

• Limited security, fraud-prevention, or technical logs may be kept for a short period (usually up to 90 days) and then deleted or anonymized
• Aggregated analytics that no longer identify you may be retained
• Information we must keep for legal, tax, or accounting reasons, if any, for the required retention period

Request to delete some data without deleting your account

You can ask us to delete specific personal data tied to your account (for example a profile photo or certain stored learning records) without closing the account. Email hadise.75.sh@gmail.com with the account email and what you want removed. We will confirm what can be deleted while keeping your account active.
